Yes, the 2003 Reunion was an outstanding success! Take a quick visit to the 2003 comments section and see what your classmates had to say. Everyone knows, "a picture says a thousand words," so don't miss the 2003 photo section. Because of the great response and numerous requests, we're headed for College Avenue in 2004, which marks 45 years since the first classes met there in 1959! For the class of '79 this will be 25 years, 30 years for the Class of '74, and 40 years for the Class of '64. In light of these milestones, next year's event will include classes from 1959-1979: 21 years of reunion! Friday night we'll get together for our Pie and Coffee Fellowship: This time in Room 100. Saturday, we're headed over to the new campus on Beach Blvd for another great day of picnic, potluck, videos, faculty, and another performance by the Choir. The support teams are forming to start work on the details to make this event 2003+. Once again, our former faculty members will be our honored guests: Mrs. Turnquist, Bill & Teresa McKinley, Ardelle Costley, George & Lorraine Link, Gene and Dixie Birdsall, Leon Davis, Coach Jon and Paula Roberts Roncace, Marie Smith, Bob Pickens, Bobbie & Wayne White, Betty. Schlenz, Coach Jim Smotherman, Coach Tom Caffrey, and we are still looking for others. Yes, there will be a choir event, and George and Lorraine Link will be back. Friday night the Choir will be singing in the College Avenue Sanctuary: no assigned seats! Copies of the Choir CD will be available in September. NEW NOSTALGIC VIDEO: An updated video will be shown with newly added footage from '59-'79! The Class of 1964 is having their 40th Reunion July 10-11, 2004 on Whidbey Island, Washington, the self-proclaimed home of the Washington Banana Belt (a semi-tropical paradise) and to bald eagles, great blue herons, geoduck clams and ex-Claifornians. Most importantly, it is the home of Judy Boswell Frisbee ('64). Class of '64 - mark your calendars for July 10-11, 2004. Others are welcome to attend. No more excuses for those of you living in the Pacific Northwest. |
